In the Gulf level, Saudi and UAE teams are the best in soccer (world-cuplevel). Oman has not been doing so well although the government support forsport clubs that spread all over the country. There are many sport centersin all major towns of Oman. Why are not they good? I do not know myself!Truely, there is no relationship between Islam and being not good atsports. Moreover, the Prophet Mohammed (SAW) encouraged parents to teachtheir children sports with special attention to horse ride, swimming, anddarts(?). Many 'Ahadeeth' reported on this topic.As Mutarjem mentioned, they're probably still at early stage, in the futurewe hope to see some professionals in all sports.
